Dr. Munné, was born in Barcelona, Spain. She obtained her M.D. Degree from Universitat Central de Barcelona as well as her D.D.S. Degree. Holding a European MD degree, she has worked in emergency medicine. Later on, under the direction of Dr. Jaime Cuenca, she completed her specialty in Endodontics in the General Hospital of Catalunya in Barcelona . Coming to the United States, she studied and worked at the UTDB in Houston, Department of Periodontics, and obtained her certificate in Periodontics and Master in Sciences Degree in 1993. She also is a diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology.
Dr. Munne engaged teaching and research duties as Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics in 1993-1994. She has lectured nationally and internationally and enjoys her private practice in Periodontics, Endodontics and Implants in the Houston Museum area. Dr. Munne has a passion for organized dentistry and its mission. Among others, she has served as Chair of the Star of The South Dental Meeting, President of the Greater Houston Society of Periodontics, Trustee of the Greater Houston Dental Society. She is a founder of the Hispanic Dental Association Houston Chapter and is Past-President of the Hispanic Dental Association. Dr. Munne is the immediate past president of the Diverse Dental Society.
