The Diverse Dental Society is a 501 (c)(3), nonprofit organization that believes in collaborating and assisting its member partners in the pursuit of their institutional missions, in the areas of service, education, leadership and advocacy especially in the underserved arenas. We are one organization made up of three (3) national minority organizations; the Hispanic Dental Association (HDA), National Dental Association (NDA) and the Society of American Indian Dentists (SAID) that support minority oral health professionals.
The Diverse Dental Society (DDS) hosted its first conference on June 17-20, 2021 via an online event. Recently established, DDS is a national organization comprised of three organizations whose alliance embodies their similar ideology and a common mission: the Hispanic Dental Association (HDA), the National Dental Association (NDA), and the Society of American Indian Dentists (SAID). This long-awaited and widely anticipated meeting was the second Multicultural Oral Health Summit jointly hosted by the three groups (the first was held in 2012 in Boca Raton, FL) and the inaugural conference of DDS, our new organization. The conference theme was “Shape the Future:#indivisiblewithdentistryandjustice for all”.
