He holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Universidad Metropolitana in Colombia, along with advanced degrees in Public Health and Health Law (Magna Cum Laude ) from Nova Southeastern University. His postdoctoral training includes a specialization in Dental Public Health from New York University Langone and a certificate in Clinical Research from Harvard University T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
