Marcus Ware, JD is the Executive Director of the National Dental Association (NDA), where he leads strategic, operational, and advocacy efforts to support Black dental professionals and promote oral health equity nationwide. He is also the Founder and Principal of Ware Pre-Law Coaching, LLC, having coached hundreds of aspiring law students since 2013.
A proud Alabama native, Marcus earned his bachelor’s and Juris Doctor degrees from Howard University, where he served as student body president and a voting member of the Board of Trustees. He has held leadership roles at George Washington University, the Gates Millennium Scholars Program, the Aspen Institute, and the Flamboyan Foundation—focused on improving access and success across K–12 and higher education.
In 2010, Marcus founded Howard University’s Freshman Leadership Academy, enabling over 350 students to study and travel in East Asia. As a cancer survivor, he has raised nearly $50,000 in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
He currently serves on the Washington, DC Advisory Council of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, as community board member of the Jeremiah Program (Baltimore) and a member of the Thrive Scholars Law Pathway Advisory Council.
