Dr. Armstrong is a General Dentist in private practice. She earned her B.A. Degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Michigan in 1990.

Dr. Armstrong became a fellow in the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists in 2017. Dr. Armstrong has been an Instructor and Supervising Dentist in the Dental Hygiene program at Wayne County Community College District since 1998. She has taught Local Anesthesia, Nitrous Oxide Sedation and Pain Control, as well as Dental Biomaterials to first- and second-year dental hygiene students.

Dr. Armstrong is an active member of the Wolverine Dental Society, a local chapter of the National Dental Association (NDA). She has served as Financial Secretary, and President of

the Wolverine Dental Society and served as Treasurer, Vice-President, President-Elect, and President of the NDA. Dr. Armstrong is also a 2019 graduate of the American Dental Association’s Institute on Diversity in Leadership.  Dr. Armstrong is/has served on several committees and continues to speak on the importance of oral health in underserved communities in her practice, webinars, as a panelist, and presents during live conferences.

Dr. Armstrong is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Alpha Rho

Omega Chapter, Detroit, and a member of the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in

Ecorse, Michigan. In her spare time Dr. Armstrong likes to knit, travel and play golf.
